Expert Seminar Series 2


Seminars of six ELTE researchers selected to visit IDP2Biomed Partner institutions. Seminars will be open to the scientific community of the host institutions. Visits will also be used for informal training on theoretical and experimental aspects of IDPs in biomedical applications.

Cambridge Event Overview

The second ESS2 trip took place in Cambridge, where three Hungarian PIs delivered lectures at the University of Cambridge. The ESS2 programme included the following presentations:
Hungarian PI Lectures (ELTE):

  • Zsuzsanna Dosztányi: From Short Linear Motifs to Higher-Order Assemblies: LC8 Interactions in Centrosomal IDPs
  • Mihály Kovács: Emerging Roles of Nucleic Acid-Dependent and Redox-Dependent Dynamic Condensation by Single-Stranded DNA Binding (SSB) Proteins in Bacterial and Eukaryotic Stress Response
  • Andrea Bodor: IDPs: Structural Features by the DR and SPIT Statistics; Disorder-to-Order Transitions for p53

Our first ESS2 trip has been completed

The participiants were Professor Andrea Bodor and Professor Mihály Kovács from Eötvös Loránd University, who visited the Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences.
